First Impressions

First Impressions is an exploration of the photographic narrative; each image takes advantage of the viewer’s curiosity as they attempt to understand the scene. Characters act as catalysts within panoramic vistas, creating entirely new and different connotations than originally perceived. Who are these individuals? How did they arrive at their present situation? The relationship between the characters and their surroundings remains entirely ambiguous, lending the viewer nothing to help determine an outcome.

Each photograph is designed to engage the viewer as a form of introspection. It is imperative to analyze and interpret the path that leads to any conclusion. It is by this process that one comes to understand themselves and the work in relation to that. Have the individuals in the photographs changed since they were first introduced? Have you?
